How to Store Tea Properly
China is one of the most famous tea producing areas in the world and has a high technical level in terms of cultivation and production and tea store method. In general, black tea and oolong tea can be stored for 2-3 years if stored properly. The less fermented tea has a shorter store time, green tea and white tea can be stored for about 2 years. So having a proper tea storage method is very important.
Note: Tea is very susceptible to these five factors: air, light, smell, temperature and moisture.
Dry storage environment-store tea
Be sure to keep tea is dry and far away from the high moisture content of the environment. The damp environment greatly reduces the tea store time, and even likely to moldy.
Far away from strong smell-store tea
Tea can absorb the smell of anything that is stored nearby, so we recommend that tea should be kept in a clean environment, such as study room or living room, and stay away from the strong smell, such as the kitchen.
Avoid high temperatures and excessive air
Higher temperature and too much air will speed up the oxidation rate of tea, which is very detrimental to the storage of tea.
Avoid direct sunlight
To a certain extent, direct sunlight can break the structure of the tea, which will lead to loss of original flavor of tea.
